Basic Info
Name:♪ Rhyme ♪
Bio
RAIMU BITO
Series: The World Ends With You
Version: Post-game
Age: 13
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Appearance: She is a thirteen year old girl who dresses in tomboyish clothes. She has green eyes and short blonde hair that is covered by a black hat that has a skull symbol on it. She is usually dressed in an orange shirt with a black heart-skull symbol on it. Looking at it, you can tell that the shirt is a bit large on her, and you cant see her figure as you would normally see with thirteen year olds. She wears baggy white overalls, and wide yellow-black shoes. Just looking at Rhyme you probably couldn't tell that she was a girl.

One of her most prizes possessions is the bell that hangs around her neck. It is a popular item on the fashion scene, and Beat was able to get it for her. It wasn't because it was a hot item that she loves it, it's because it was given to her by her brother.

Personality: Rhyme has a calming presence, which helps offset her brother's aggressive and impulsive side. She always has a smile on her face and is kind to everyone. She is optimistic and reasonable, and she helps to keep everyone organized. She has a young and pure heart, and it's really impossible to hate her. She gives love to everyone that she meets and has immense loyalty to her friends and family. She is a tomboyish girl that thinks the world of her older brother.

Abilities/Weaponry: In the canon, we don't get to see too much of what Rhyme can do as a partner. On the third day of the first week (when she is partnered with Beat), she saves him by pushing him out of the way of a Noise. She is brought back to life (in a way) by Hanekoma making her into a Noise. So from that point on we see her as a pink Noise with dark wings.

If I wanted to interject some fan speculation (courtesy of my friend and I discussing Rhyme's abilities), I'd say she would be a thief, just based off of looks and how Square usually does things. She would be fast on her feet due to her small stature. She could easily deliver quick attacks and steal from enemies.

Weaknesses: In the game we never see her in battle, but if I were to peg a any weakness for her, I'd say it would be her brother. She sacrificed herself to save him (even when she had no memories that he was her brother). There is obviously a deep connection between the two, and this connection could be used against either one of them.

History: Rhyme and Beat are siblings that share a close and interesting bond. Beat would always get into arguments with their parents and Rhyme would be the one to help comfort him every time. After one particularly nasty argument, Beat stormed off and Rhyme followed like always. She believes in her brother and knows that he could do whatever he sets his mind to.

But both siblings died when Beat tried to save Rhyme from being hit by a car. Before Rhyme died and entered the Reaper's game, she had lots of dreams and ambitions. That was something she held very dear, and that became her entrance fee into the game. Beat's entrance fee into the game was Rhyme's love and memories of him. She believes that Beat is a perfect stranger, and that fuels Beat's desire to win the game, so that he can restore Rhyme's memories.

On the third day of week one, they teamed up with Shiki and Neku. Beat ran ahead, and she hung behind with Neku and Shiki. As Beat waved her down, she smiled back, but stopped as she noticed a Noise right under Beat. Thinking quickly, she pushed Beat out of the way, and was swallowed by that noise and was erased. Mr. Hanekoma does some quick thinking and manages to compile Rhyme into a Noise pin. Beat becomes in possession of that pin and joins the Reaper's to help bring Rhyme back as a Noise. He succeeds but he loses Rhyme again when he partners up with Neku on the third week.

At the end of the third week, Beat won and was able to get his entrance fees—Rhyme's memories of him and Rhyme herself—refunded to him. But since Rhyme technically lost the game, she didn't regain her dreams and ambitions.
